A piece of equipment that is used to test both a generator end and engine at the same time.
Available Load Banks
- Resistive – a load created by the conversion of electrical energy to heat by resistors
- Reactive – consist of iron-core reactive elements that create a lagging power factor load
With a resistive/reactive load bank full system testing is possible on any given generator. As well as measuring the voltage regulation performance, a long with the effects of conductors and switchgear.
